Wednesday, September 8, 2010; John and I went into Western Missouri Medical Center to have our baby.. We got there around 5:30am, got our paperwork filled and got admitted. Around 7:30am Dr. Brackhaus came to check my dialation and effacement which was 1cm dialted and 50%effaced. Then the nurse put oin the Cytotec to try and get my cervix dilated and effaced with good strong contractions.. Well the cytotec didn't get me dilated or effaced but they gave me really good and strong contractions.. I got put on Pitocin around 1pm which kicked my contractions into overdrive.. I got a pain reliever in my IV which helped for a while.. Once I got to 4cm and 75% effaced I stayed that way for several hours.. They continued to increase my Pitocin which made my contractions so painful I couldn't wait anymore and got the Epidural around Midnight.. Between the exhaustion and the epidural I got loopy and don't really remember a lot of the conversations I had with everyone but I hear it was funny lol.. Then around 3am ish they checked my cervix and was 8-9cm and 100% effaced.. they had me push a few times and saw Ailynne's head starting to crown and told me to stop.. They called the doc and once she got there it was time.. After 22hrs of Labor and 20min of pushing we welcomed Ailynne Rose Ballard at 4:12am, weighing 9lbs 2oz, 21in long. Head full of brown hair and dark blue eyes..
After all the waiting and hard work, we finally have our new baby girl!! It's crazy how sshe was in my tummy for so long and now she's finally here!! When we came home Ekko was wanting to hold her which I sat with her and helped hold her new little ssister for a minute.. We have our little family together again.. I am still so sore and not as tired but still tired, it was so worth it :) I am so blessed!!
I wanted to thank everyone who was there for the delivery, visiting, and help at home!! Without all that help I don't know what we would have done :) I am glad we got to have some family here even if it wasn't for long.. There was a lot of people I wished tha could've been there but understand that they couldn't be..
I can't wait to get tons more pics of her and for her first proffesional pictures :)
